Coastal Lifts in Pacific County

Snell Crane Service sets processing equipment, marine gear, rooftop units, towers and steel in Raymond, South Bend, Long Beach, Ilwaco and across Pacific County. Coastal sites bring sand, salt air and wind, so the crane choice starts with the ground and the weather.

Since 1992 we've driven our cranes to the coast from our Olympia yard. Our project managers run your job and handle the permits, and our NCCCO-certified operators make the lift. Looking for Longview on the Columbia? That's a separate page, linked below.

Local Know-How

Willapa Bay to the Peninsula

We reach Raymond and South Bend on SR-6 from Chehalis or US-101 from Aberdeen, then follow US-101 around Willapa Bay to Long Beach, Seaview and Ilwaco. These are two-lane coastal roads with bridges and tight turns, so large cranes and their loads get a route check first.

Raymond and South Bend have mills, the Port of Willapa Harbor and oyster and seafood processing along the Willapa River. On the Long Beach Peninsula, sandy ground near the dunes, cranberry bogs and the marinas at Ilwaco and Chinook mean ground bearing and mats matter as much as capacity.

Crane setting the NOAA radar dome on its tower at Copalis Beach

Local Project

From the Job Site

Up the coast at Copalis Beach, we set a NOAA radar dome on top of a tower with a 185-ton crane. A tall, exposed pick right on the ocean is exactly the kind of coastal lift we plan for in Pacific County: wind limits, ground prep and a lift plan agreed before the crane arrives.

FAQ

Long Beach and Raymond Questions

Is this page for Longview?

No. This page covers Long Beach, Raymond and Pacific County on the coast. For Longview and Kelso on the Columbia River, see our Longview crane rental page.

Can you set up a crane on sand at Long Beach?

Yes. We look at the ground first and use crane mats or a telescopic crawler where the soil calls for it. Our project managers plan it into the lift.

Do you work at the Port of Ilwaco and on Willapa Bay?

Yes. Marina, dock and processing-plant lifts at Ilwaco, Chinook, South Bend and Raymond are regular coastal work for us.
