Seattle Crane Rental

Operated cranes and certified crews for tight city job sites.

Lifts planned for Seattle's streets, schedules and neighbors

Downtown and close-in Seattle sites leave little room to set up a crane. Snell Crane Service plans every Seattle lift around the street you're working on: outrigger footprint, swing radius over sidewalks, power lines and the hours the city allows you to occupy the lane. Our NCCCO-certified operators run all-terrain, truck and crawler cranes on commercial, industrial and public projects throughout the city, and we're available for night and weekend work when daytime traffic won't allow it.

Working in SODO, Georgetown and beyond

A lot of our Seattle work happens in the industrial south end, from SODO through Georgetown and along the Duwamish, where warehouses, plants and distribution buildings need rooftop units, structural steel and process equipment set. North of downtown, we support mid-rise construction, campus projects and mechanical replacements on occupied buildings. Seattle jobs that block a street or sidewalk usually need a street use permit from SDOT. We'll help you plan crane placement early so the permit and the lift plan match.

Communities we serve: Seattle, West Seattle, South Seattle, Georgetown, SODO, Ballard, Capitol Hill, Northgate, Tukwila, Shoreline

Questions We Hear

Do I need a permit for a crane on a Seattle street?

Usually, yes. If the crane, outriggers or swing area use the street or sidewalk, the City of Seattle requires a street use permit. We'll give you the crane size, footprint and setup details your permit application needs.

Can you lift at night in Seattle?

Yes. We regularly schedule night and weekend lifts in Seattle when traffic, building occupancy or permits make daytime work impractical.
